We have had so much fun learning about measurement, shadows, and light.  We have been measuring things with linking cubes and math blocks, then counting the length.  We have made shadows using light and a sheet.  The kids have had so much fun watching their shadows jump!

The 4 yr. old class has made a lot of progress with our Journals we do for each letter.  Their attention spans are getting longer when working on them.  It is fun to watch their writing and drawing skills improve.

We have an exciting week this week!  We will be getting ready for our Christmas Party on Thursday, Dec. 18th.   Thursday is also wear red dayI need prizes and snack items for each class.  We will be playing with our food during snack.     I will have a sign up on the door tomorrow.   Tues. Dec. 16th.

Thursday we will have a class party at the last hour of class.  We will play with our food and then eat it for snack,  play games, and do a craft.  We will meet you outside at pick up time and sing a few songs.

Parents are welcome to come to parties and see your children in class.

3yr. old class:  I need at least one parent to come help with the party @ 9:50.

Holiday Break is Dec. 19th-Jan 5th.  I will see you all again on Jan. 6th.  Tuition is due on the 6th due to the Holiday.

Happy Holidays!!!

Our Halloween Party was a lot of fun!!!  All of the children were very well behaved!!!  Thank you to all of you who donated treats and prizes for our Party.  All of the children had a lot of fun playing the games and getting the prizes.

It is so fun to watch your children grow.  That is why I love teaching so much.  We make small improvements each week and learn more each day.  This month we will be learning about our 5 senses.  We are going to have so much fun learning about them.  I love this unit because it is so hands on.  We will end the unit with our Thanksgiving feast on Tuesday,  November 25th.  I will have a sign up on my door the week before the feast.

Please make sure you allow your children to use scissors, glue, pen, pencils, markers, and play dough at home.  This will help them develop their fine motor skills which will help them learn how to write and many other skills needed for Kindergarten.  Teach them to keep them at the table.  Let them cut out coupons, make a collage of what they want for Christmas with the toy catalogs (which will be coming soon.)  Use your children's imaginations and have them cut white paper in a bucket and make snow, or green paper and make grass, or yellow paper to make tickets or magic coins. Make it fun!!!
