Calender Updates and Fire Staion Field Trip

I have updated and made a few more changes to the calenders for the remainder of the year.   See e-mail for current calenders please.


We are going to do a letter review this week and learn letter Q next week , U will be the week of April 1st and letter X during the week of April 8th.

I am also going to swap flowers and birds for science.  I really wanted the flowers to be blooming when we learn about flowers,  so I will delay learning about flowers until April.  

Fire Station Field Trip-  A couple of years ago we went to the fire station.  I loved it and I think the kids did too.  Our field trip will be on Tues, April 22nd @ 10 or 10:30.  We are going to the fire station on Redwood road in West Jordan.  When it gets closer I will put a sign on the my door so you can pick your time.  Parents need to attend or find another parent in the class to bring your child.  Siblings are welcome.

Upcoming Events for March, April, & May

March
We have 2 events this month that I will need help with.  If you have not helped out this year please try to make it to one of the following events.

March 18th Leprechaun Day I need 1 parent to set up our Leprechaun hunt and then sneak in and mess up the room while we go looking for the silly Leprechaun.  I will only need help during the last ½ hour of class.

March 20th Kite day We are learning about weather this month and as part of weather we will learn about the wind and what makes the wind.  Do finish up the unit we will make kites and fly them in my circle in front of my house.  I need one parent to come help watch the children and help them with their kites.  If we have inclement of weather we will delay flying kites for a better day. 

April
Egg hunt- We will have our own Easter Egg hunt.  I will need 2 parents to help hide eggs and help out with the hunt.

Spring Break-  16th & 17th No School

Field Trip- TBD  We will visit a fire station.  They will not make a reservation until we get closer to April.  I will let you know when I have the date.  I am hoping for Thursday, April 24th.  Parents do need to attend with their students.  Siblings are welcome.

May
Graduation program (Pre-K 4yrs) (Date updated) Monday, May 19th @ Kearns Library @ 6:30 (This is the 2nd date change from previous May calendars due to reservation availability)  Our Wed. class for May 21st will be changed to Monday May 19th so can have a rehearsal for our program that night.

3yr old Program- Thursday, May 22nd at my home at 10:30 am.  This will be a short program to show you a few things we have learned this year.
