Thank you so much for your help with the Halloween party last week.  You made it so easy for me!

Yesterday we did some investigating and looked inside dirt.  Yes, at my kitchen table!!  It was a lot of fun.  We found rocks, twigs, plants, roots,  small worms, a centipede.
My afternoon class even found a big worm we thought was dead, but after school, I found it on my kitchen floor. Lol.  It was only playing dead....Hahaha.  Believe it or not, your kids did not make too much of a mess.  We will talk about what we found more tomorrow.  We learned that the word investigating means we look at something really carefully.

The afternoon 4 yr. old class learned that the letter "i" has two sounds. (long and short sounds)  We have been learning about vowels and vowel sounds in class.  As you talk about words, take time to talk about the sounds the vowels make and what vowels are.

This month we will have a Thanksgiving Feast on Tuesday, November 22nd.  I will have the feast sign-ups on the door on Thursday, the 17th.  The feast will be during the last hour of class.  We will eat basically an improvised Thanksgiving lunch and then play a few games.  I need at least 1 or 2 parent helpers in each class.
No class on Thanksgiving. the 24th.

Every day is an adventure and I really love your kids!!
